AILA University presents the 2020 AILA Virtual Annual Conference and Exhibition (AC 20V)! AC 20V will allow practitioners from all immigration practice areas to unite virtually for four days of education, innovation, inspiration, and collaboration in a series of programming and events. Each day will focus on a different substantive practice area and will offer concurrent tracks, one on fundamentals and one with intermediate-advanced level programming.

Live virtual programming will be carefully curated to highlight the most popular and relevant content from the planned in-person AILA 2020 Annual Conference and will include additional OnDemand resources and virtual engagement opportunities. Opportunities to Connect

Attendees will be able to explore and connect with exhibitors and partners via a virtual exhibit hall, open all day each day, and can participate in virtual social activities to meet-up with friends and colleagues. Virtual networking events after sessions will include themed happy hours as well as fun events to encourage members to expand their networks such as virtual team trivia, a virtual talent show, etc. All registrants will have access to all four days of programming including the OnDemand recordings afterward at no extra charge. Continuing Legal Education

Eligible participants can receive up to approximately 7.2 total credits per day/28 total credits for all 4 days in 50-minute jurisdictions and up to 6 total credits per day/24 total credits for all 4 days in 60-minute jurisdictions. Visit AILA’s CLE Center to view state bar changes to CLE program format restrictions in response to COVID-19.

AILA thanks all of the scholarship applicants! The deadline for all scholarship applications was June 19. All applicants will be notified before the early-bird deadline (July 1).

Frequently asked questions regarding the the originally scheduled in-person conference

Will my fees (registration, special events, etc.) be refunded?
Yes, all fees paid will be refunded in full.
When and how will my refund be issued?
We are working to process all refunds as soon as possible. Refunds will be returned in the same form as the original method of payment and should be complete by the end of May. Please allow up to 30 days for funds to be credited back to accounts. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your registration refund, please contact conferences@aila.org.
Do I need to cancel my hotel reservation?
Any reservation booked through AILA room block and received AILA group rate, will be cancelled automatically without penalty and any deposits charged by the hotel will be fully refunded.

If you have booked your reservation through the hotel outside the AILA room block or through 3rd party travel sites, you must cancel with them directly.

Do I need to cancel my airline reservation?
Yes, please cancel your airline reservation directly with your travel agent or air carrier. Each airline has different guidelines for waiving cancellation/change fees due to COVID-19 so please contact them directly for the latest cancellation policy.
Will AILA help with fees associated with the cancellation of my air travel and hotel reservations?
AILA will not be able to help with hotel reservation made outside of AILA room block. Please contact the hotel or the 3rd party travel agent directly to cancel and follow their cancellation guidelines. For air ticket cancellations, please contact your air carrier directly for their latest cancellation policy.
I am an exhibitor – what happens to the fees I paid?
AILA will be issuing refunds for formerly finalized contracts for the 2020 Annual Conference/San Diego event̶—exhibits, advertising, and sponsorships. Please contact AILA staff at advertising@aila.org or 202-507-7629 with any questions, including how to quickly secure your opportunities for the 2020 Virtual Annual Conference in July.
